The use of rock bolts in modern mining and tunnelling operations makes a crucial contribution to underground safety. But ensuring that each bolt has been correctly installed increases safety even further.
Atlas Copco’s Bolt Plan Navigation technology allows the bolts to be installed without the need to physically mark the drilling point. It also shows the exact position of every bolt to be installed and how much cement is used in each bolt installation.
The result is a correctly executed bolting plan and a data log that records exactly how and where the bolts were installed.
