Excore bits set new standard for core drilling

2010-03-31

Extensive testing over two years conducted on four continents has produced a new breed of diamond core drilling bits. Excore offers significantly improved bit life and productivity for core drilling applications.

Atlas Copco’s Excore core drilling bit range offer superior bit life and increased penetration rates, thanks to advanced matrices and crown design.  Available in a number of variants for specific rock types and drilling scenarios, the Excore range achieved impressive results during global trials.

The increased bit life of the range reduces the number of bit changes required and therefore rod pulling operations during core drilling, improving productivity. The bits can also be used in a range of rock formations, reducing inventory size and the need to change bits when rock formations change.
